Great food and service , not as great as the original in Brooklyn , but it was very close, I definitely recommend the roast beef with mozzarella and gravy you won't regret it.

I had seen the menu before that they had the beef patty on certain days or during lunch hours, so I finally ordered lunch. Did not disappoint!
OMG, I went to school up north and moved to the south for the last 20plus year. I've forgotten how great the little local owned delis are so delicious. John's doesn't disappoint in the least. This is a typical NY deli with mouth watering sandwiches and homemade treats. Do yourself the favor get yourself off the main roads and find this place in Staten Island. You won't be disappointed!!!
John's famous deli is not all about roast beef sandwich. This place never disappoints. They changed their hours since the pandemic but I'm so grateful that they're open. Crispy bread, fresh delicious roast beef with mozzarella, then that gravy to die for is amazing ! In the past while you wait online for your sandwich, they give you a fried shrimp dipped in their amazing sauce. This is how they get you to order their shrimp parm and it's totally worth it. I'm willing to have cheat day everyday and use my calories and fat consumption on roast beef and shrimp parm. This is how good this place is. For the summer we cater from this place, and they were very accommodating in making these sandwiches to us. Everyone fell in love with john's deli and amazed at their delicious roast beef gravy and shrimp parm sauce.
This is probably my favorite deli Their sandwiches are amazing, and if you go, I recommend a BLT on a beef patty in cocoa bread (don't forget the hot sauce, you won't regret it)
